Next Steps on ISO Regionalization: Letters from Gov. Brown

California Governor Brown has put the plan for an expanded regional ISO on hold, acknowledging in letters to the CA legislature and governors of surrounding states that “there remains some important unresolved questions that would be difficult to answer in the remainder of California’s current legislative session.”  This awareness will allow the appropriate time for this critical proposal to be fully flushed out and ensure it progresses with thoughtfulness and care.  Governor Brown assured the recipients of the letter that interested parties would continue working to address these questions stating, “the goal is to develop a strong proposal that the(CA) legislature can consider in January.”
